This engaging, rewarding online learning experience will help you deepen your practice and strengthen your personal growth. Kundalini yoga is a yoga of awareness that is known to be giving tremendous energy by activating your pranic body, helping with managing anxiety and depression by balancing the nervous and glandular system. It has many more benefits besides this. As you look for a way to deepen your practice by understanding the basics of this thousand of year-old technology, we will take you through five modules, where you will learn the foundation of sound & mantra, ten bodies and how they work, proper ways of pranayam, in-depth analysis of asanas, mudra and bandha and finally an overview of eight chakras. These modules are going to be supported by a 40 days practice which is designed for you. During this time, it will give you the opportunity to work with your teachers and a community to truly put your learning into action and make this new habit into a lifestyle.

Mantra is the creative projection of the mind through sound. The science of mantra is based on the energetic quality of sound and how it penetrates through our chakras and subconscious. We will go deeper into this in a systematic way with a 40-day practice to build a solid foundation.We identify with our physical bodies, but we are so much more. Breath is both a physical and subtle life force of the mind and body called prana. We will go deep into how to activate this pranic body to live your best life.

The Science of Chakras

Module 5

 In kundalini yoga, we focus on the eight major chakras.  Seven of them correspond to the endocrine system and the eighth chakra to the magnetic field. The chakras are energy dynamics that rather work in unison. They are a part of evolution and manifestation. Kundalini yoga facilitates the clearing of the chakras and brings the body and mind into a balance. They affect our perceptions, feelings, and choices. They also affect the relationship between the conscious and subconscious and ultimately make us who we are today. Balancing the chakras opens and integrates the senses into a flow where we can experience the larger energy field within and around us.

Moon Jérin

 

Moon has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 23 years and kundalini yoga since 2009. She is a certified Kundalini yoga teacher, Vedic Scholar and a Mindfulness Practitioner.

She has studied Vedic astrology under her Jyotish Guru Marc Boney and Mindfulness from Plum Village Institute.  She likes to combine her multidisciplinary knowledge to help others create a practice that's suitable for them. Her style of teaching is attaining mastery and long term sustainable daily practice.
